To talk or not to talk?
Sara had been trying to help 5-year old Mioko, who doesn’t speak by talking to her a lot. But this did not work, as Mioko made no progress. She did not even try to talk. And however much Sara talked to her, she did not seem to understand. After the 2-day DIRFloortime introductory course, with lots of helpful video clips, Sara said: ‘I have found that going down the levels and massively reducing language has helped a lot. I am currently reading your book and really enjoying it. It’s teaching me a lot.’
